What to gather

• The itemised vet invoice. Itemised, not just a total.
• The vet's notes. Shows what was treated.
• Proof of payment. Receipt or card statement.
• What happened and when. Every claim starts with this.

Things that catch people out

• Pre-existing conditions and waiting periods are the usual stumbling blocks.
